Farriers / Bakers Estates meeting: Monday 5th July 2021

On Monday 5th July 2021, Bakers Estates will be holding a public session between 4pm and 7pm when any parishioner wishing to, can view the plans and ask any questions. As this is not a formal Council meeting the current Covid restrictions severely restrict the number of people who can be in the hall at the same time. To safely manage this please email or phone Bakers Estates to book a time slot to attend: consultation@bakerestatesltd.co.uk or 0808 169 9116. While this is not ideal, it is at least an opportunity for the public to directly ask questions of the developers ahead of the deadline for public comments on the application.

On the same day, there will be an evening session, starting at 7.30pm. This session is specifically an opportunity for Councillors to view the plans and ask questions. It will be a “public” session and there should be space in the hall for up to 18 additional attendees. Admittance for the additional spaces will be on a “first come, first served” basis. If the safe limit of the hall is reached, any additional parishioners will have to stand outside and we will open the doors to help them hear what is being said. Due to the potential of attendees having to stand outside, it would be better if as many parishioners as possible attended the afternoon session. This will also allow Councillors (in the evening session) to concentrate on the “material planning concerns” rather than some of the queries that local residents may raise.

AECOM Site Assessment
Earlier this year, Lamerton Parish Council commissioned AECOM to undertake an independent site appraisal for the Lamerton Parish Neighbourhood Plan. The purpose of this site assessment is to consider identified sites in Lamerton Parish to determine whether they would be potentially appropriate to allocate for housing in the Lamerton Neighbourhood Plan. The intention is that the report will help to guide decision making in terms of selecting the sites that best meets the housing requirement and Neighbourhood Plan objectives.

The final report explains the methodology and findings of AECOM and you can view a full copy here.
The parish council will be discussing the results of this report at its next meeting at 19.30 on 18th November at Lamerton Parish Hall. All welcome.
